Olympic Flame

“Swifter,Higher,Stronger” is the motto for the Olympic games. The saying   encourages athletes to try their best effort , and no matter what happens as long as they tried it is victory for them.So the most important thing is not to win but to take part.

Lit in Olympia which is in Greece   the flame for the olympic games  is the best and well known features of the game. The flame is a memory of the origins of the olympics. After being lit by the sun’s rays it is then carried by relay through all of europe to the Olympic host  city.

On the opening of the olympic games, the torch is brought into the stadium. It is then transferred from the base it was in then  to the cauldron. After being transferred to the cauldron the flame countinues to burn for the entire length of the games. When the games finish the flame is then extinguished which means the games are over.
